The prohibitory order enforced by the local administration here has been extended again by a week. The administration extended the restriction with the rise in the COVID-19 cases day by day.

The prohibitory order will be in effect till the midnight of September 13. The time of the previous order implemented on August 30 terminated last midnight, Chief District Officer, Bhim Prasad Bhattarai said.

Shops selling daily essentials including medicine and vegetables would be allowed to open from 6 am to 10 am by mandatorily wearing masks, using sanitizer and maintaining social distance. All other shops are ordered shut.

The decision to extend the restriction was taken by a meeting of the District Crisis Management Centre today.
