RPP Chair says no decision yet on forging electoral alliance

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Rajendra Lingden has said that decision on electoral alliance for the upcoming local level election has not been made.

Talking to journalists here today, he said no formal talks have been held with other political parties also regarding this topic.

"No decision has been made in connection to contesting the election with seat adjustment with other parties. Talks on this topic have not been initiated with any party," he said, adding that the RPP would contest this election across the country on its own.

The RPP Chair however said that it is another matter if electoral alliance is forged at some local levels and the party will leave that to the party's local units themselves.

Stating that other development would not be complete without reforms and development of the education sector, he said RPP will implement the policy of free education in the local levels where it is elected. "We have plan of providing free education up to grade 12," he stressed.

On a different note, he said those who take politics as a business have abandoned the party. "Those people who took politics as a means of earning for their family have exited from the party and those who love the country and consider politics as a social service are still with the RPP," he said.
