Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rajendra Lingden has hoped that the party would come as an alternative political force through the next elections.
People were seeking an alternative to the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) and they would establish the RPP as a solid alternative force in the polls, he said while addressing an election assembly organised here Saturday.
"The day when people took advantage by scolding monarch and Panchayat has gone. The RPP is a party which will safeguard the country and religion," he asserted.
People will defeat those who have taken politics as profession and business," he said while pointing to the parties in the incumbent government and the main opposition UML.
On the occasion, leader Lingden announced Ramesh Dahal and Sabina Bajgain as the candidates of mayor and deputy mayor of Mechinagar Municipality respectively in the local level election.
