Sauraha hotels offer heavy discount

Hotels and restaurants entrepreneurs in Chitwan district have announced different discount packages meant to revive the business, which is adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The entrepreneurs today on the occasion of World Tourism Day announced up to 30 per cent in subsidy in their services.

Chairman of Hotel Association Sauraha Deepak Bhattarai shared that they were working out to provide subsidy in each tourism related services.

He said that they plan to revive the tourism industry with different packages by attracting the tourists. He said, “We are focusing to sustain the business from domestic tourists.”

Altogether 11 organizations including the hotel association organized the programme today to mark the World Tourism Day.

Deputy Mayor of Ratnanagar Municipality Bimala Duwadi urged all entrepreneurs to run their businesses by adopting health protocol and safety measures in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

There are about 120 hotels and 100 restaurants with 5,500 beds in Sauraha.

The hotels and restaurants closed since March 24 opened on September 17 and are still waiting for business recovery.
