The government has decided to wave off 75 per cent of parking fee for the airlines companies in the country. The waiver has been announced in consideration of the aviation sector remaining closed since the lockdown was imposed to check the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Sharing cabinet decisions of July 12 meeting here today, Minister for Communications and Information Technology DrYubarajKhatiwada said the waiver will apply from the day the lockdown was enforced to one month after it is lifted. Other concessions have been announced for domestic as well as international air service operators as well as those running shops and restaurants within the airport premises.
Likewise, the fee in aviation operation license and flight verification certificate has been deducted by 50 per cent.
Furthermore, the government has decided to provide concession in the renewal fee of media. The ‘National Water Resources Policy, 2077’ has been endorsed by the cabinet.
