State Minister Shrestha’s vehicle vandalized

State-Minister at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Umesh Shrestha’s vehicle has been vandalized in Chitwan district today.

Bricks were pelted on the vehicle with registration number Ba 3 Cha 2050 that was used by Shrestha who is contesting in the parliamentary election from Chitwan constituency no 2 representing the Democratic-Leftist Alliance. Also, another vehicle (with registration no Province 3-01-24 Cha 9061) in the vicinity of Shrestha’s vehicle was also damaged.

Both the vehicles were vandalized at Red Cross Chowk of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 in Chitwan district, according to District Police Office, Chitwan.

A group of five to six persons came in motorcycle and damaged the vehicles parked during door-to-door programme of State-Minister Shrestha. According to Bijaya Raj Pandit, Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Chitwan, the front glass of both vehicles were smashed while visor of the vehicles were also broken in the attack.

Police were searching for those involved in vandalizing of the vehicles. Police have suspected that the act could have been conducted by the group boycotting the upcoming parliamentary elections on November 20.
