The Sudurpaschim state government is to focus its budget for coming fiscal year to make the economy dynamic by increasing employment for those who lost their jobs due to coronavirus.
Presenting the policy and programme of Sudurpaschim state government for the coming fiscal year 2020/21 in the state assembly meeting on Monday, State chief Sharmila Kumari Pant, shared that budget for coming fiscal year would be prepared to help address the impact caused by COVID-19 and revive the economy.
The policy and programme has mentioned that the programmes have been targeted for coming fiscal year in order to increase agro and non-agro production by utilizing knowledge, skill and capacity of the people returning from neighbouring and third world countries and priority would be given to COVID-19 affected youth workers in employment of agro sector.
Special programme would be brought for the development of Vyas rural municipality of Darchula and to uplift the living standard of the citizens of the area, reads the policy and programme.
The issue of formulating social security and development programme for the people living near international bordering areas and implementing it has been incorporated in the policy and programme.
The policy and programme has also given special stress on overall development of remote areas including Bajura and special priority to development of agro sector, quality education and health, tourism promotion, industry, and sports development and construction of other infrastructures.
Similarly, the policy and programme has also incorporated various issues including forwarding activities for the construction of necessary physical infrastructure for the establishment of state capital at Teghari of Kailali.
