Tamim emerges as best sportsman of the year

Abu Huraira Tamim emerged as the best sportsman of the year of Walton-BSPA Sports Carnival (Abdul Mannan Ladu trophy), said a press release.

Tamim bagged the prize with highest rating point while Rumel Khan and Mahmudunnabi Chanchal finished as the second and third runners-up respectively.

The prize distribution ceremony of the Walton-BSPA Sports Carnival was held today (Saturday) at Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Auditorium.

BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza was the chief guest in ceremony and handed over the prizes, presided by Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) president Sanat Babla.

Walton Group senior executive director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, BSPA general secretary Md Samon Hossain, sports sub-committee’s chairman Kazi Shahidul Alam, member secretary Faisal Titumir were also present in the prize distribution ceremony.

This year the Walton-BSPA Sports Carnival was held in twelve events of nine disciplines.
