There is no smaller or greater nationality as such: PM Oli

Web Desk May 19, 2020     No Comment     General

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said that there is no smaller or greater nationality as such of any country.

Responding to the questions posed by parliamentarians over the government policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2077/078 BS presented by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in the federal parliament, PM Oli said that all countries should get equal opportunity to exercise their sovereignty.

“Any country can be big or small in size or population and advance or back in development but nationality cannot be smaller or greater. All countries should get equal opportunity to exercise their sovereignty. And, the country can determine policy on its own,” the PM said in the House of Representative meeting.

Over the questions raised on Nepal’s encroached land, the PM said that Nepal remaining in between the two big neighbours should not opt for so-called nationalism or ‘surrenderism’.

On the occasion, PM Oli said that Nepal’s land was encroached immediately after the end of Rana regime.
