NEW DELHI, Three Malaysian films will be screened at the six-day ASEAN-India Film Festival starting in New Delhi on Friday.
Thirty-two films from 10 Southeast Asian countries and India will be screened during the festival, which also includes panel discussions on various aspects of cinema.
Malaysia will be represented by the films, Kanang Anak Langkau: The Iban Warrior, directed by Bade Hj Azmi, the Shuhaimi Baba-directed 1957 Hati Malaya, and Redha, which is directed by Tunku Mona.
"The ASEAN film festival will feature countries which have immense and colourful cultural diversity but share common historical thread.
'This will be showcased through screenings of films, alongside exchange of ideas, discussions between the film personalities and interactive sessions with the audience," India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said.
The festival is being organised as part of a series of events to commemorate the 25 years of ASEAN-India relations.NNN-BERNAMA
