Three persons of a same family died on the spot in a road accident in Bara district this afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Tirthaman Syangtan of Nijgadh Municipality-10, his 23-year-old wife Jyoti and one-year son, said Spokesperson of District Police Gautam Mishra.
The accident took place when a bus (Na 4 Kha 7244) heading towards Pathalaiya from Nijgadh hit a scooter-State 2 (03) 004 Pa 4442 near Dudhaura bridge at Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City.
A search for the absconding bus driver is underway. Police have impounded both vehicles.
