Locals have brought CPN (UML) candidate for the chief of Sandakpur rural municipality, Uday Rai, under the control.

They blamed that Rai, who had reached Jamuna of Sandakpur rural municipality-5 on Wednesday night, was brought under the control on the charge of making attempts to financially manipulate voters.

Similarly, ward member candidate Sita karki was also brought under the control. Chief of the District-based Armed Police Force, Suresh Sapkota, said that both of them were brought under the control for security after locals started chasing them away blaming for making publicity during silence hour.

Saying both of the candidates violated the Election Code of Conducts, the locals demanded action against them.
