UML Chair pledges to establish Biratnagar as glorious city

CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has pledged to establish Biratnagar as a glorious city through the development of its environment and industries there.

Reminding that the postal road was constructed and the campaign to provide education to deprived people in Madhes was carried out during his three year’s rule as Prime Minister, the former PM claimed that he constructed the Sunkoshi Marin project that would irrigate 185,000 bigha of lands in the next two years.

Addressing an election rally in Biratnagar on Saturday, Oli expressed the hope that the UML candidates would emerge victorious with majority votes in the May 13 local elections.

Similarly, the UML mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates Sagar Thapa and Shilpa Nirala Karki respectively committed to developing Biratnagar and boost its economy.
