In the party's standing committee (SC) meeting started on Sunday, the CPN (UML) leaders have discussed the statute amendment proposal and political and organisational reports to be tabled in the upcoming statute general convention.
Chief of UML's publicity department Yogesh Bhattarai said that the reports have been tabled in the party's SC meeting and discussions over the reports would continue on Monday as well.
The UML's statute general convention is taking place in Godabari, Lalitpur, from October 1-3.
The draft proposal of the party's statute was sent to the party's different committee for suggestions based on the decision of the central committee meeting of the UML concluded on August 9.
The statute mainly include age limit of the party chief, electoral system in the party committee, provisions of party structures in line with the federalism and others.
Based on the feedback from the SC, the report would be submitted to the party central committee meeting to be held on September 24 and 25.
