Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Dhanraj Gurung, has said that local-level election would be held within coming mid-May.

Talking to media persons here today, he shared that the ruling coalition parties have already made agreement over the issue of local-level election.

Gurung added, "An agreement has already been reached among the ruling coalition parties in this regard. The decision in this regard will be made within a few days."

He opined that there would be no alliance among the five parties in the local-level election to general election, saying political parties should go for election taking their own agenda, ideology, policy and programme.

Leader Gurung said that the rumor of groupism politics taking place again in the party is baseless, saying President, office-bearers and central committee members are common of all after the election.

On a different note, he said that the incumbent government has become successful to make arrangement of vaccine against COVID-19 as per the people's aspiration. He also urged the government to carry out other activities including vaccine as per the people's expectation.
