Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed the hope that the Muslim community would observe Eid al-Fitr at home over COVID-19 risks. In a message of best wishes to all Islam followers on this occasion today, the Vice President stressed the need for the community to celebrate this festival with health precaution as the country is under lockdown due to the infection.
“May this festival bring happiness, peace, prosperity and progress to all Islam followers and all Nepalis at home and abroad,” he said in the message of greetings, adding that festivals and cultures of various communities have been additionally strengthening mutual tolerance and national unity among all Nepalis.
He also extended his condolence to those Nepalis who have lost their lives from the infection in Nepal and abroad. He has wished for speedy recovery of the infected ones. There is no need for all to come together to fight and win this battle against the virus, read the message.
