Workers have been mobilised under the Prime Minister Employment Programme (PMEP), said Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City. Health security arrangements have been made for the workers amid COVID-19 risks, said Chakrapani Sharma, the Chief Administrative Officer of the city.
At least 78 daily wagers have been mobilised in the Sub-Metropolitan-2, 7 and 10 where the programme has been launched. Regular health checkups of the workers have been done, he said. The programme will be launched in other wards too, said the programme coordinator Arbinda Pandey.
Meanwhile, issuing an appeal note on Sunday, the Sub-Metropolitan City has urged the town residents to adopt security measures and maintain social distancing over the infection of the coronavirus.
