Youth arrested with half kilo gold

Police have arrested a youth along with half a kilogramme of gold he was smuggling towards India from Kapilbastu.

Thirty four-year-old Pawan Kumar Gupta was arrested with the contraband at Bankasiya, Mayadevi rural municipality-7 on Thursday evening when he was heading towards India on his motorcycle (Lu 56 Pa 6310).

Police confiscated the gold, a gold chain and ring from Gupta. The gold is valued at Rs 4.2 million. Gupta has been sent to the Revenue Investigation Office Butwal for necessary action.
