The society could move towards prosperity provided that meaningful and proportional participation of youths was ensured in every state apparatus.

In a reception organised by the Sudi Society, Kathmandu, Youth Sub-committee on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2079 BS here today, the participants underlined the need of involving youths in the mainstream of development of the society by means of self-employment, entrepreneurship, innovations and skills enhancement.

On the occasion, Loktantrik Socialist Party Nepal’s leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Rajendra Mahato sought the role of social organisations for transforming the society.

He urged youths to get engaged in fighting social misconducts and thus developing a competent, consolidated and just society.

Sudi Society Federation Nepal chair Parameshwor Mahaseth echoed the need of empowering the Sudi community with the protection of their rights and culture.

On the occasion, a souvenir titled “Two decades of Sudi Society, Kathmandu-2079’ was released.
