Kathmandu: Fifteen people from Morang district have gone out of contact since the Bhotekoshi flash flood occurred on August 26.
According to National News Agency Nepal, these individuals had traveled to Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot for various works. Chief District Officer Yubraj Katel reported that three individuals have been rescued and are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals.
The missing individuals include Shiba Shankar Gupta and Som Prasad Katel from Biratnagar Metropolis-7, Anuj Dhamala of Belbari Municipality-11, and Puja Acharya along with her three-year-old daughter. Also missing are Surya Bahadur Karki and Bhojraj Adhikari from Sundar Haraincha Municipality, Megha Chemjong, Shona Chemjong, Devimaya Tamang, and Pasang Tamang from Letang Municipality.
Others who remain uncontactable are Suraj Mandal of Rangeli Municipality-6, Richa Niraula of Pathari Sanischare Municipality-7, Sachin Gautam from Airport Mode, and Durga Prasad Pokhrel from Biratnagar-1.
