Kathmandu: The 14th meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management National Council on Friday decided to compensate for all incidents of disasters occurred October-November of 2023.
The meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar under the chair of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also endorsed the decisions of the Executive Committee on Thursday that agreed to classify disaster -affected 71 local levels into three categories.
The recommendations of the meeting are- allocating Rs 10 million to the most affected local levels, Rs 7.5 million to the affected and Rs 5 million to the generally affected. It was endorsed by the Council meeting, according to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority’s Joint-Secretary Basant Adhikari.
The meeting also extended tributes to all those who lost their lives in the disasters.
