National Football Player Sabitra Leaves for France.


Kathmandu: With the concluding of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship held in Nepal, Nepali National Team forward Sabitra Bhandari left here for France today to play in the commercial football. Nepal was limited to runner-up team after it was defeated by Bangladesh 2-1 in the final match held on Wednesday at Tripureshwor-based Dasharath Stadium. With this, Bangladesh lifted the title for second time in the SAFF Championship. This is the sixth time Nepal lost the match in final game of SAFF Championship. Sabitra, who has been playing football for a French club, came to Nepal to play SAFF Championship from the national team.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Sabitra’s departure to France marks her return to her professional commitments after representing her home country in the regional tournament.
