Lumbini Province Chief Minister to Lead Delegation for International Conference in China.


KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, is scheduled to visit China, leading a seven-member delegation to attend an international conference in Sichuan Province from November 11-13. The Lumbini Province Government has approved this visit, as announced by Dinesh Panthi, the provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief Minister Acharya will be accompanied by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki, Chief Secretary Mahadev Pantha, and other high-ranking officials from the provincial government. The visit aims to strengthen the ties between Lumbini Province and Sichuan Province, which have been in place since 2076 BS following the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in sectors such as agriculture, industry, and tourism.

Spokesperson Pantha mentioned that the delegation’s visit will include high-level discussions focused on implementing developm
ent plans for Lumbini Province and enhancing bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
