KATHMANDU: Koshi provincial government’s minister for internal affairs and law, Lila Ballabh Adhikari, has resigned from his post. Adhikari announced through a news conference organized here today that he resigned on moral grounds as he faced criticism after he went on a visit abroad some days back without taking approval from the provincial government. He was appointed minister on May 17, 2024.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Adhikari’s decision to resign came amidst growing scrutiny from both the public and political circles. His unauthorized trip abroad had sparked discussions about protocol adherence among government officials. The resignation has triggered a series of discussions within the provincial government regarding the appointment of his successor.
