Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will play a significant role in promoting tourism and showcasing the talent of Nepali youth on the international stage. During the unveiling of the NPL Trophy at the historic Dharahara premises, he pledged the government’s support and encouragement for the league.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli emphasized the government’s commitment to being a supportive partner for the players, aiming to foster the development of the sports sector in Nepal. He expressed his belief that the NPL will introduce a new dimension to Nepali cricket, highlighting its importance as a dream and a source of pride for the current generation.
Prime Minister Oli further assured his personal interest and commitment to the NPL, regardless of his position within the government, and extended his best wishes to all the teams participating. He expressed hope that the league would reveal the talent of the youth and reinforce the
belief that Nepalis can achieve great things when given the opportunity.
