KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Chitralekha Yadav as the Nepali Resident Ambassador to Australia. The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Government of Nepal, specifically the Council of Ministers.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Yadav has previously served as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and held a ministerial position in the Cabinet. Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, the Spokesperson at the Office of the President, stated that the appointment was made in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal 2072 BS.
