World Champion Kickboxer Ghimire Honoured by Bagmati Province Ministers.


Kathmandu: Nepali young kickboxer Abiral Ghimire, also known as the Himalayan Cheetah, has been honoured by Bagmati Province Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Suraj Chandra Lamichhane and Minister for Youth and Sports Min Krishna Mahajarnan at a program organized by the Mixed Martial Arts Association (MMA) today. The event celebrated his groundbreaking achievement as the first Nepali boxer to win the World Kick Boxing Championship.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Ghimire, who currently resides in Japan and hails from Gurjudhara Balambu, Chandragiri Municipality-12, earned this prestigious honour following his remarkable victory at the International Kickboxing (ISKCA) tournament. The competition, organized by the International Sports Kickboxing Association, took place at the Nagoya Congress Center on October 26, where Ghimire triumphed over his French opponent, Antonin Marconi, to become the World Champion.

During the event, Chandragiri Municipality Mayor Ghanashyam Giri, Administrative Officer
Hemraj Aryal, Deputy Mayor Basanti Shrestha, and Spokesperson Krishna Prasad Khadgi also extended their felicitations to Boxer Ghimire, acknowledging his exceptional contribution to the sport and bringing pride to the nation.
