CPN (Unified Socialist) Secures Victory in Gadhimai-8 By-Election.


Rautahat: CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Bajrangi Prasad Yadav has been elected as the ward chair of Gadhimai Municipality-8 in Rautahat. He secured 655 votes in the by-election held on Sunday. His closest rival, Jiuti Devi Yadav of CPN (UML), garnered 631 votes, while Subodh Kumar Yadav of Nepali Congress received 617 votes. Sandesh Prasad Yadav of JSP Nepal obtained 258 votes, as reported by District Election Office Rautahat Chief Chhote Lal Das.

According to National News Agency Nepal, in a separate by-election, Nepali Congress candidate Sheikh Abdul Khalik emerged victorious for the post of ward chair of Ishnath Municipality-7. Khalik secured 627 votes, surpassing his rival, UML’s candidate Sheikh Anwar, who received 575 votes, as confirmed by Election Office Chief Das.
