Pokhara: Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, has announced that a new date for the 10th National Games will be revealed in the coming days. The announcement was made during his discussions with individuals from the sports sector at the Pokhara Stadium.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the games, initially scheduled to occur in November in Karnali, were postponed due to insufficient preparation time and incomplete infrastructure construction. Minister Chaudhary indicated that the preparations are underway to hold the games in the last week of Fagun, which corresponds to the second week of March 2025. The exact date is expected to be announced on Friday.
In his address, Minister Chaudhary also committed to securing a budget for the development of the sports sector in Pokhara. The government has outlined plans to host several events for the U-19 Women Cricket World Cup in Nepal in 2027. The Minister assured that the government would allocate the necessary funds for infrastructure developm
ent to support these events.
