Army Chief Attends Armored Corps Annual Commandant’s Conference


Bogura: The Armored Corps’ 44th Annual Commandant Conference-2024 of the Bangladesh Army was held today at the Armored Corps Center and School (ACC and S) in Bogura Cantonment. Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman was present as the chief guest on the occasion, as noted in a release by the Directorate of Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR) this afternoon.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the army chief provided necessary guidelines to the commandants of the units of the armored corps and other officers for the development of the corps as well as the Bangladesh Army. He emphasized the glorious heritage of the Armored Corps and its contribution to serving the country, urging all members to prepare for the challenges of the 21st century by acquiring the required capabilities through modern training.



The army chief expressed hope that every member of the corps would set a unique example of service to the country in the future. He later planted a sapling and attended a photo session with the commandants, as reported by ISPR.



The event also included the inaugural ceremony of ‘The 9th Colonel Commandant’ of the Armored Corps at the Martyr Lt. Badiuzzaman Parade Ground in Bogura Cantonment. The ceremony was attended by senior military officers, including the GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command, commandant of the Armored Corps Center and School, commanders of all armored brigades of the Bangladesh Army, commandants of armored units, and media representatives.
