Barishal: A total of 33 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, four patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, six in Chattogram, six in Dhaka, four in Dhaka North, eight in Dhaka South, one in Mymensingh, one in Sylhet, and three were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna division, as reported by a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 1,054 this year, with nine deaths reported from the disease. In comparison, last year saw a significant rise in dengue cases, with the total number reaching 1,01,214 and 575 deaths reported, the statement added.
