BGMEA Leaders Advocate for Expedited Service Delivery in Trade


Chattogram: The leaders of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) have urged the government to ensure rendering speedy services through simplifying further the policies in import and export trade. They made the call when a delegation of the BGMEA leaders, led by its support committee member MD M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, met Commissioner of Customs House, Chattogram Mohammad Zakir Hossain at his office in the port city today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BGMEA former directors AM Mahbub Chowdhury, Anjan Sekhor Das, Saif Ullah Mansur, and senior officials of Chattogram Customs House were present, among others, on the occasion, said a press release here. Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Zakir Hossain emphasized the indispensable role of the RMG industry in attaining economic growth and generating employment.



He also assured the BGMEA leaders of extending his wholehearted cooperation in speedily offloading the imported goods related to the RMG industry, further simplifying the export procedures, and resolving the existing problems in the import and export operations of the RMG industry through mutual discussion and cooperation.
