Chattogram: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug traders with 196 bottles of Phensidyl and seized a private car from the city’s Chandgaon residential area this morning. The arrested individuals have been identified as Saiful Islam, 37, son of the late Haji Nur Sobhan, and Nasir Uddin, 31, son of Zahir Uddin, both from Jorarganj of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain stated that acting on a tip-off, a RAB squad established a check post in the mentioned area. As a result, Saiful Islam and Nasir Uddin were apprehended with 196 bottles of Phensidyl syrup, which were concealed under the seat of the car they were using to transport the drug.
In connection with the incident, a case was lodged with Chandgaon thana.
