Kushtia: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today destroyed various types of illegal drugs worth about Taka 74.32 crore at Kusthia BGB 47 Battalion’s Training Ground here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the contraband items were seized by the BGB members from different areas of the Kushtia and Meherpur frontiers from February 01, 2024, to January 31, 2025. The destroyed drugs included phensedyl, alcohol, beer, heroin, marijuana, and cocaine. These drugs were destroyed by rollers and fire, a BGB official stated.
Kushtia Sector Commander Colonel Md Maruful Abedin, 47 BGB Commander Lt Col. Mahbub Morshed Rahman, and Mirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bibi Korimunnesa were among those present at the event.
