Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepali Industries and Entrepreneurs (FENIE) is set to host its third annual general assembly on April 2 and 3 in the federal capital. More than 2,000 industrialists and entrepreneurs from across Nepal are expected to attend the event. The assembly’s agenda includes the election of a new working committee comprising 17 office bearers, as announced by FENIE Coordinator Bhagirath Sapkota.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the positions to be elected include a chairperson, two vice-chairpersons-one of whom will be a woman-a general secretary, a deputy secretary general, and four secretaries responsible for organization, publicity, foreign affairs, and funds. Additionally, an industrial exhibition will take place alongside the general assembly, aimed at promoting products from domestic industries, ranging from small to large scale.
The two-day exhibition will feature more than 100 exhibition halls, displaying a variety of products and services. Highlights include region-specific goods such as jimbu, yarsa, and silajit from Karnali, as well as chhurpi, cardamom, and tea and coffee from Koshi, as mentioned by Coordinator Sapkota.
