Bhojpur: The Sanodumma Secondary School in Pauwadungma rural municipality has set up an e-learning centre aimed at integrating technology into the educational process.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the establishment of the e-learning centre was supported by the Ishwor Mandir Kathmandu Campaign. The campaign provided the school with 20 desktop computers, a smart TV set, and a WIFI set, valued at Rs 800 thousand.
General Secretary of the Campaign, Sanket Koirala, highlighted that the investment in educational materials was made to facilitate convenient learning for both teachers and students, while also enhancing their technological skills. The school’s Principal, Khagendra Dhakal, expressed optimism that the technology would be utilized as needed, enabling the school to offer tech-friendly knowledge.
Chairman of Puwadungma rural municipality, Kiran Rai, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in schools, noting that they contribute significantly to social reform. He mentioned the local level’s plans to provide life skills and focus on modern quality education, with all 32 community schools in the area set to have tech-friendly libraries.
Former finance minister Shankar Koirala stressed the necessity of making education tech-friendly to align with advancements in science and technology. He acknowledged the Ishwor Mandir Kathmandu Campaign’s support for schools in improving their teaching methodologies. The organization, established in 2056BS, has a history of supporting various schools in the region.
