Lalitpur: The National Assembly (NA) Chairman, Narayan Prasad Dahal, has indicated that a significant number of bills could be passed during the ongoing session of the Federal Parliament. Addressing the 39th anniversary of Nirvana School in Lalitpur, Chairman Dahal emphasized the importance of these bills in implementing the fundamental rights of citizens, highlighting the session’s role in achieving this goal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman Dahal pointed out that some laws from the Panchayat era are still in effect. He mentioned that the education bill is currently under discussion in the House of Representatives. He expressed confidence that once this bill is passed by both the NA and the HoR, it will address several issues in the education sector.
Additionally, Chairman Dahal noted that other significant bills, such as the federal civil service bill and the police adjustment bill, are also under discussion in the Federal Parliament. He expressed his satisfaction with the quality of education provided by Nirvana School, stating that education should embody morality, honesty, responsibility, and discipline.
Moreover, the NA Chairman encouraged students to be both educated and responsible citizens, emphasizing that practical education combined with cultured learning is key to success in life. Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, also spoke at the event, stressing the need to produce high-quality human resources capable of competing in the global market.
