Panauti: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ram Nath Adhikari, has stated that the incumbent government has no privilege to carry out activities against the constitution. At a programme organized to inaugurate a cold storage established by Sakriya Mahila Krishi Sahakari Sanstha and a local agriculture products exhibition at Panauti in Kavrepalanchowk, Minister Adhikari expressed confidence that the government remains committed to the welfare of the people and is focused on constitutional adherence.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Adhikari addressed issues within the agriculture sector, such as market access and the promotion of agro products, and assured that these would be resolved in a planned manner. He highlighted the government’s efforts in resolving the challenges faced by dairy farmers and committed to identifying and addressing problems in other sectors as well.
Minister Adhikari further announced plans to introduce a special programme aimed at reducing the use of pesticides in agricultural products and improving the management of chemical fertilizers. “Let us increase the use of biodegradable fertilizer. The government is preparing for the effective management of fertilizer for next year,” he stated.
Additionally, Nepali Congress central committee member Madhu Prasad Acharya emphasized the importance of prioritizing farmers in government plans and programmes. He urged the government to address the challenges faced by farmers, including those in the dairy sector.
Mayor of Panchkhal municipality, Mahesh Kharel, also called on the government to implement relief programmes for farmers in Kavrepalanchowk, while Organisation Chairperson Sumitra Banjara stressed the need for government support in managing cold storage at the local level.
