Bhadrapur: Seventy people on average are visiting the District Ayurveda Health Centre in Bhadrapur of Jhapa daily to seek various services.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Centre Chief, Ayurvedic physician Bijay Shrestha, stated that the facility offers promotional, preventive, and curative health care services. The center primarily addresses cases related to piles, back pain, gastritis, asthma cough, bone and joint issues, and nerve problems.
In the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2081-82 BS (2024-25), the center provided therapy services (Purva Karma/Pancha Karma) to 4,928 individuals, homeopathic services to 105, and laboratory services to 545 people. Additionally, 2,175 individuals visited the Out Patient Department (OPD) ward. The center also offers surgical services, as well as care for new mothers, infants, and senior citizens.
Dr. Shrestha asserted that the services of the Center are of quality and distinctive within the province.
Kiran Pokhrel, a resident of Bhadrapur municipality-8, shared that he has been receiving treatment for gastritis at the Center for two months and has found the services effective, stating, “I have now trust on the Ayurved service.” Similarly, Bikash Rajbansi from Haldibari reported benefiting from the therapy services for his backbone issue, noting a reduction in pain within a few days of starting treatment and an overall improvement in his condition.
