Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has emphasized the importance of quality education to steer society in the right direction. In his address at an interaction on “School Education Bill and Concern of People’s Representatives,” organized by the Education Department of the Nepali Congress, he highlighted the necessity for educational reforms that align with contemporary needs.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the momentum for educational advancement began with the 1950s revolution in the country. He underscored the urgency of adapting educational strategies to meet current demands, stressing the role of local levels in executing educational policies. Singh pointed out that effective implementation requires input from relevant bodies to enhance the School Education Bill.
During the interaction, various mayors and deputy mayors shared their perspectives on the Bill, echoing the sentiments of local authorities. Department Chief Nain Singh Mahar stated that the program’s objective was to gather feedback from local representatives regarding the Bill, aiming to incorporate their insights into its development.
