Bhojpur: A new vegetable learning center has been inaugurated in Manebhanyang of Ramprasadrai Rural Municipality-5, Bhojpur. This initiative aims to equip local farmers with practical insights into modern farming techniques, particularly for various agricultural products, including green vegetables. Ward Chairman Jagat Chauhan emphasized the center’s role in delivering hands-on training to enhance farming systems for crops like cauliflower, akbare chilly, cabbage, coriander, fenugreek, and brinjal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the learning center is attracting farmers interested in vegetable farming who are eager to gain crucial knowledge and skills. Local farmer Dal Bahadur Khatri acknowledged the center’s contribution, noting that it offers valuable insights into professional and modern farming practices, including understanding diseases and pests affecting vegetable crops.
Dheeraj Thakur, the head of the rural municipality’s agriculture branch, revealed that the center was established at a cost of Rs. 200,000. It focuses on imparting practical knowledge about modern farming systems, including the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the rural municipality, which has allocated a budget of Rs. 1 million to set up vegetable learning centers across five wards this year, as stated by Rural Municipality Chair Tham Bahadur Rai.
