Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called upon one and all to move ahead to building a prosperous nation. Issuing a message of best wishes on the occasion of the New Year 2082 BS today, he urged for resolutely taking steps forward for the country’s prosperity and bright future.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dahal emphasized the importance of looking forward and not dwelling on the past. “We are sovereign Nepalis with a glorious history; we have set many records of sacrifices, dedication and martyrdom for justice, freedom and equality. Our future can be bright only by moving forward, not looking back,” he stated in his message.
Dahal highlighted the necessity of establishing new standards of good governance and promoting employment through the development of a self-reliant economy in the year 2082. He also remarked that the only alternative to a democratic republic is a stronger democratic republic, and called for a new resolution reaffirming the desires of the Nepali people for good governance, social justice, economic prosperity, and progressive change.
The Maoist Centre Chair acknowledged the new challenges and opportunities that the year 2082 BS presents. He urged everyone to focus on fulfilling the expectations of the people through the full implementation of the constitution.
