1,000 MW Power Exported to India: PM Oli


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that Nepal is exporting 1,000 MW of electricity to India.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli shared this development through his social media account, highlighting the financial benefits of the export. He stated that Nepal will earn 80.027 billion rupees from this electricity export to its neighboring country.



The announcement marks a significant step in Nepal’s energy sector, as the nation looks to capitalize on its hydropower resources to boost its economy. The export of electricity to India is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance Nepal’s position as a key energy supplier in the region.
