Seven Institutions Recognized for Excellence in Occupational Safety


Kathmandu: The government has honoured seven institutions from seven provinces as the best for practicing occupational safety and health. At a program organized at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari distributed certificates of appreciation to the recognized institutions.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the recognized institutions include Buttabari Tea Pvt. Ltd. of Koshi Province, Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd. of Madhes, Barun Beverage (Nepal) Pvt. Ltd. of Bagmati, Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd. of Gandaki, Bijay Distillery Pvt. Ltd. of Lumbini, Mahakali Sugar E Pvt. Ltd. of Sudurpaschim, and Shuva Hotel Pvt. Ltd. of Karnali. These institutions were selected for their exemplary practices in ensuring occupational safety and health standards.



During the event, Minister Bhandari emphasized the importance of occupational safety and health in boosting the productivity of workers. He urged all enterprises to strive towards creating workplaces that are healthy, safe, organized, and dignified.
