Sanfe-Martadi Highway Open for Traffic


Bajura: Traffic has resumed on the Sanfe-Martadi Highway linking the district headquarters. It had been obstructed since Friday night due to landslides triggered by floods in the Rila river following incessant rainfall. Police Inspector and Information Officer at the District Police Office Bajura, Dev Bahadur Chaudhary said that the traffic along the highway has resumed after the obstruction caused by the flooded Rila River in Badimalika Municipality-4 was cleared away.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the landslides had severely impacted the flow of vehicles, disrupting connectivity and causing inconvenience to residents and travelers. The local authorities worked tirelessly to address the situation, ensuring the highway was cleared and safe for travel.



The Sanfe-Martadi Highway is a vital link for the region, and its reopening is expected to restore normalcy to the transportation system. The prompt action by the authorities highlights the ongoing challenges posed by natural calamities in the area and the efforts required to mitigate their impact.
