Kathmandu: The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament is scheduled to take place from November 17 to December 13. A total of eight teams will participate in the T20 tournament organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The participating teams include Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur Bolts, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Pokhara Avengers, Lumbini Lions, Sudurpaschim Royals, and Karnali Yaks. The mini auction of players for the tournament has already been completed.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the first edition of the NPL was held around the same period last year, with Janakpur Bolts emerging as the champions. In preparation for the upcoming tournament, the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur is undergoing upgrades. A parapet and floodlights are being installed at the stadium to enhance the facilities.
