Innovation Partnership Programmes in Lumbini Province Aim to Strengthen Federalism


Deukhuri: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, has emphasized the effective implementation of innovation partnership programmes as a crucial step towards strengthening federalism. During a meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee under the Province and Local Governance Strengthening Programme (PLGSP) held in Deukhuri, the Chief Minister expressed that these initiatives could elevate the prosperity and development of the province.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief Minister Acharya highlighted the necessity for efficient monitoring of the innovation programmes currently being executed in local government units. These programmes are active in seven local government units across the province, aiming to address various developmental areas.



In Thakurbaba Municipality of Bardiya, the programme “Sustainable Development and Green Economy: Our Partnership for Agricultural Transformation” is underway. Similarly, Tansen Municipality of Palpa has initiated “Tansen Entrepreneurship and Tourism Development.” Other initiatives include “Smart Mayadevi” in Mayadevi Rural Municipality of Rupandehi, “Digital School” in Surumarani Rural Municipality of Pyuthan, “Promotion of Tourism Homestay along with Entrepreneurship” in Ramgram Municipality of Nawalparasi West, and “Information Technology-Friendly Education” in Chhatarkot Rural Municipality of Gulmi.



Additionally, Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality of Rupandehi is operating an “E-Recommendation Service Center for Digital Governance.” Chief Secretary of the province government, Babulram Adhikari, underscored the importance of quality training to build capacity from law-making to implementation at both provincial and local levels.
