Thimphu: Nepal lost to India in the opening match of the SAFF U17 Women’s Championship 2025 today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the match took place at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, where India defeated Nepal with a score of 7-0. India asserted dominance early in the game, netting five goals in the first half and adding two more in the second half.
The championship features four teams: Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, competing in a double round-robin league format. Nepal is set to face Bhutan in their next match on Friday.
