Maximum Diplomatic Initiatives for Release of Bipin, FM Dr Rana


Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has announced that the government is actively undertaking diplomatic initiatives to secure the release of Bipin Joshi, who is currently under the control of the Hamas group. Dr. Rana Deuba emphasized the government’s commitment to this cause through various international platforms and forums.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Dr. Rana Deuba shared on social media that since her appointment as the Foreign Minister, she has prioritized the matter and has been advocating for Bipin’s release at the United Nations General Assembly, bilateral and multilateral meetings, and other international forums. She expressed that these efforts will continue until a resolution is achieved.



Dr. Rana Deuba specifically mentioned her discussions with Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, seeking Bipin’s release in the initial phase of hostage negotiations. Al-Khulaifi serves as the chief negotiator and mediator in the ongoing peace talks.



The Foreign Minister also extended her gratitude to the Israeli government, its citizens, the Nepali community in Israel, and the global community for their efforts towards Bipin’s release. She highlighted that Bipin’s mother and sister have traveled to Israel, supported by the Israeli government and in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to personally appeal for his release.
