Gorkha: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assured that there will be no financial constraints for the Budhigandaki Hydropower Project, a national pride endeavor.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairperson Dahal made these remarks at a program in Palungtar municipality-5, Gorkha district, as part of the Mid-Hill Highway Awareness Campaign initiated by his party. He emphasized that the construction process for the Budhigandaki Hydropower Project is well underway, with sources secured and approximately Rs 50 billion already invested.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, Dahal held multiple discussions regarding the project, highlighting its potential to positively impact the national economy beyond the prosperity of Gorkha. He also mentioned a preliminary agreement with the Chinese government to develop an agro-industrial zone in Chyangli, Palungtar municipality.
Furthermore, Chairperson Dahal criticized the current coalition government for failing to meet public expectations, leading to growing frustration among the population.
